Rich Shoots for Dunedin Uni.
Commercials

I recently had the privilege of working with Director Quentin Pfiszter from Auckland Agency Zephyr on a new national campaign for Dunedin University. We shot three nicely scripted spots all based around a similar 'my place in the world' theme on location at the University of Otago with three actual students, all of whom did a great job considering they were all new to the camera.

I had the good fortune to secure a brand new Sony F3 and a set of Zeiss Compact Prime lenses for the job. It was the first time I or my Camera Assistant Kirk Pflaum had actually used this camera or these lenses and we were impressed. The 35mm sensor creates lovely images with the help of the beautiful Zeiss glass. It's a combo I would love to own. Unlike guys with Film backgrounds I like the prosumer compact form factor, I'm comfortable with it and I know how to move it. It's not perfect but its a small compromise given the overall quality of the images.

The Kit provided by Gavin Stroud of Eyemo Film Services in Auckland was first rate and although the form-factor may not be to everyone's taste I've got to say that having everything shipped in carry on size cases makes it much less painful in shipping costs. If you have need, I'd highly recommend the guys from Eyemo.

Wayne Pohl from Dunedin Uni was on hand during the shoot and shot a little BTS video on his iphone.
