Kinetic Media is an HD production house now based in Queenstown, New Zealand. we are best known for our work in the world of sports but our work covers the diverse worlds of commercials, promos, drama and music videos. We offer broadcast quality HD video, Final Cut Pro non-linear editing and colour grading. Motion graphics, 2d design and animation. We aim to be a full service house, with the ability to scale up or down as the job requires.

Also in August Kinetic produced the coverage of the UCI Junior World Track Cycling champs which were held here in NZ at the Invercargill Velodrome. A fantastic event was supported brilliantly by the Southland locals. We produced live to big screen coverage inside the venue. Each night we delivered video news packages and a highlights package for the web. Post event, a one hour show was produced which featured the best racing action together with a little local flavour. The show screened on Sky Sports here in NZ and went to Foxtel in Australia. The web packages were picked up around the globe.
August saw the return of the FIS World Cup halfpipe events to Cardrona. These are the 'inbetweener' events of the Winter Games. For 2012 we had the return of the snowboard halfpipe and also saw the introduction of the Freeski event to the 2012/2013 calendar. These were the first qualifying events for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games. We produced a half-hour show from each event which screened on TV3 and distributed one-hour cuts to the international distributors Infront.
Rich went to the Olympics with Sky Television and had his mind blown with the scale of the event. He had the privilege of being on the Rowing and kayaking events at Eton Dorney. A special experience.
We are excited to announce that Mediaworks has been confirmed as the host broadcaster of the 2013 New Zealand Winter Games. Everything is provisional at this stage but we hope to be live from the mountains for at least four hours each weekend and will be delivering a same-day highlights show each weeknight. This is a huge result for the Winter Games.
Rich DP'd the final episode of the Nigel Latta hosted series Beyond the Darklands. It screens in October.
