Kinetic Media is a Christchurch and Queenstown based production company. We have been in business for over a decade and our credit list includes prime-time television, commercials, corporate, promos, news and documentary.
We are industry leaders in sports production with a number of New Zealand firsts to our name particularly in non-stadia sports and in the emerging live streaming arena. We walk the line between traditional and new media and this enables us to offer the best solution to our clients for any given situation.
We firmly believe that the platform is irrelevant and it's the quality of the product that matters. Regardless of whether it is traditional broadcast, live web streams or youtube highlights packages we aim to deliver a media product which works best for the client, the sponsors and the audience.
"Kinetic Media has been my first choice for any sports television production for a number of years now. For the 2013 Winter Games NZ, I asked them to really step up and produce a daily highlights product from multiple venues in a mountain environment. Further, I asked that the television be edited live and include a live webcast for an international audience. It was no surprise to me that Ingrid and Richard took on the challenge and produced a quality product over ten days despite numerous weather, snow and scheduling pressures. I regard Kinetic Media as New Zealand's leading non-stadia sports television production company and won't hesitate going back to them for the 2015 Winter Games NZ."
Arthur Klap - Sports Impact - CEO WinterGamesNZ
“The quality of Kinetic Media’s work is best reflected by the popularity of the end product. Every production they have produced for us has been well received by viewers. In some cases these productions have been forwarded to outside entities such as advertising agencies and local councils for promotional purposes, and they too have been impressed."
Michael Jaques - Event Organiser: Karapoti Classic, New Zealand Mountain Bike Week, Crazyman Multisport race
“We engaged Kinetic Media to help us deliver a TV and digital broadcast package for the 2012 UCI Juniors Track World Championships. Kinetic managed our full daily broadcast requirements to UCI, all domestic and international broadcast media and media to our event website, as well as negotiating international broadcast for our event TV package. I have no hesitation in endorsing Kinetic Media as a broadcast partner of the highest possible standing. We could not have asked for more.”

March 2016 - We are currently working on two more documentaries, the first on Aoraki Bound, a Ngai Tahu outward bound course which has just marked its 10th anniversary. we will look at some of the remarkable changes Allumni of the course have made as a result of being involved. The second is a follow up to the well received Mahinga Kai series which looks at the work and processes of Maori artists of significance.
Feb 2016 - A very busy start to 2016. We had a wonderful time covering The Pioneer MTB stage race. It was a gruelling week for everyone involved both on and off the bike. Our team produced news and daily highlights clips through the week. The 1 hour documentary has just been completed and is being distributed internationally. We produced a live webstream of Challenge Wanaka again this year with an international TV show to follow. This was our third year on the Tarawera Ultra and once again we produced a documentary for international TV. To mark the 50th anniversary we have just started the edit of a documentary looking at the history of the Shotover Jet, one of the most iconic tourism businesses in the world.
2015 - Was a great year for the Kinetic crew. We produced a number of local event documentaries and some large international events. The Mahinga Kai webseries which we shot and production managed for Ngai Tahu launched. We were especially proud of our Coast to Coast Documentary and our documentary on Challenge Wanaka . There is a global appetite for New Zealand sport productions which showcase the landscape and scenery like ours do, these and a number of other productions are distributed internationally and play in 20+ tv markets around the world reaching millions of eyeballs. Challenge Wanaka was one of the most popular triathlon shows of the year in europe and productions such as the Tarawera Ultra Marathon are hugely popular internationally. We are doing our bit to put New Zealand on the international stage. The WinterGamesNZ kept us busy throughout the winter as this event continues to grow in significance. We produced live web and TV coverage of all the main events with multiple cameras feeding action to TV3 and around the world. We also produced live international Triathlon coverage of Challenge Bahrain and Challenge Dubai for the web and TV.
Our blog is just random stuff that interests us. Not all of it is about us because we know that the world doesn't revolve around us. We are not beautiful and unique snowflakes. But if we find one, we post it here.Okay, I'll take a look
